Dame Joan Henrietta Collins was born on May 23, 1933, in Paddington, London, England. She was born to Elsa Collins and Joseph Collins. Her mother was a dance teacher and a nightclub hostess. Her father was a talent agent. Joan has two younger siblings, Jackie Collins, and Bill Collins. Jackie Collins died in 2015 because of breast cancer.
