Gates and Haynes exchanged their marriage vows in 2015. Blessed with two beautiful children named Khaza and Islah, Gates had publicly affirmed to have more children through his nasty affairs and has been closed to them ever since. Gates is said to be raising his kids Muslim as he himself practices the religion and had been on the Hajj journey with Dreka in 2016.

Though sentenced for weapon possession, Kevin was not found with any of those felonies during his mandatory supervision upon his parole. Extremely dedicated to music, Gates announced his show as soon as he was set free from the prison. Set to be performing at JMBLYA from May, Gates will be touring through Houston, Austin, and Dallas along with the concert at Common Ground Festival in Michigan in July.
