Michael Edward Knight, best known for his role as Tad Martin was born on May 7, 1959, in Princeton, New Jersey, U.S. Michael is seriously active in the television industry since the early 80s and he can still be seen nowadays. He completed his school years at The Thacher School in Ojai, California. He attended Wesleyan University, graduating in 1980, a year ahead of agenda.

Knight’s Career

Knight's debut major acting role was representing Tad Martin on the soap opera “All My Children”. His debut stretches on the show ran from 1982–1986. He reimbursed from 1988–1990, and again from 1992 until the ABC sequence ending in 2011 and the online restoration of the sequence in 2013. Knight also made entry as Ted Orsini on AMC from 1993–1994.

His reason for departure from the show was to chase acting missions on the West Coast, which comprised a starring role in the feature movie “Date with an Angel (1987)”, and numerous primetime attendances — counting Murder, She Wrote, Dear John and Grapevine. Knight co-starred in the off-Broadway play “Wrong Turn at Lungfish”. He was also seen in the ABC film for TV She Stood Alone: The Tailhook Scandal and in the off-Broadway Cakewalk featuring Linda Lavin respectively.

Awards and Achievements

Knight was privileged as he won two Daytime Emmy Awards for 'Outstanding Younger Leading Actor' (1986 and 1987). In 2001, he was flattered with his third Daytime Emmy Award. He also acknowledged the 1997 Soap Opera Digest Award for 'Best Supporting Actor' and a nomination in the same category in 1998. In 2005, he was nominated for an Emmy for 'Outstanding Leading Actor'.

Knight’s Personal life

Knight was married to Catherine Hickland on June 27, 1992.  The couple lasted their relationship for 14 years as they divorced each other in 2006. Knight and Hickland were privileged for their generous work by the West End Intergenerational Dwelling in Manhattan in 1999.

On February 2, 2017, Knight made an astonishment attendance at the Hallmark Channel's Home & Family show, where he was unified with several of his former “All My Children” castmates.
