Kevin James was born Kevin George Knipfing on April 26, 1965 in Mineola, New York. He is an American Actor and Comedian, recognized as Doug Heffernan in the CBS sitcom ‘The King of Queens’. He occasionally writes episodes such as Inner Tubes. Other projects that made him well recognised are Hitch (2005), I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007), Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Grown Ups (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Here Comes the Boom (2012), and Pixels (2015).

James first interest in life was sports: wrestling and football. But unfortunately a back injury permanently ended his career in sports. He then began stand-up comedy in 1989 which he thoroughly enjoyed. His first stand-up gig was at the East Side Comedy Club on Long Island. Following, he appeared on various talk shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and so on.
Later in 1991, James started his television career with ‘The New Candid camera’, a TV series. Following he worked as the announcer for the MTV sports game show ‘SandBlast’ (1994-96).
