Josh Harris is a professional fisherman featured in 'Deadliest Catch' and also the eldest son of his father, Phil Harris. He was born as Joshua Grant Harris.

Josh was born on March 18, 1983, to mother Mary Harris and father a fisherman caption Phil Harris due to which he became familiar with the sea since a young age. He has a younger brother named Jack Harris with him he co-authored a book: 'Caption Phil Harris'.

Josh appeared as the deckhand in the first six seasons of the show, starting fishing crab in The Bering Sea from an early age. The song plays over a montage of the crab fighting vessels through a massive artistic squall in final four minutes of the season 6 episodes 'Redemption Day'. On 9 February 2010, Phil died and while Josh was trying to call jack to tell him about their father's death, the song final chorus 'Freedom' repeats solemnly four times and faded out over a simple shot of the Bering Sea raging. On discovery Canada, the instrumental version of the song was used.

Josh has the biggest share in F/V Cornelia Marie while there is no information whether his brother owns any share in it or not. Till 2017 he was running the wheelhouse of F/V Cornelia Marie which was formerly owned and operated by his father, Phil Harris till 2010. Josh Harris, along with his brother had returned for season 14 of the deadliest catch with all new season of the show which was premiered on April 10, 2018.
