Colin Andrew Mochrie, famous for his appearances on the British and US versions of TV improvisation show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” was born on November 30, 1957, in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. As of January 2018, Mochrie has an estimated net worth of $ 1.2 million.

Mochrie’s Early life

Mochrie acting career started when he was in high school. He was in a play titled as “The Death and Life of Sneaky Fitch” where Mochrie played the role of the undertaker. After completing his education from high school, Mochrie joined the “Studio 58” theatre school. In that school, he learned the art of improvisational comedy.

Mochrie’s Career

After finishing graduation from Studio 58, Mochrie started work by becoming a member of the Vancouver Theatre Sports League. He started working in 1980. Following Expo '86, Mochrie finished his occupation with the Vancouver Theatre Sports League and migrated to Toronto. Once there, Mochrie interviewed for The Second City comedy troupe, where Stiles was employed. He began performing with the Second City National Touring Company where he met his life partner Debra McGrath (Born July 5, 1954), who was the manager of the company at the time.

After the British version of the show ended, Mochrie joined the American version of “Whose Line” hosted by Drew Carey on the channel ABC. He was transported along with Ryan Stiles, who was also a consistent participant in the UK cast. Mochrie was seen on each episode from its debut starting in August 1998 to its finale in 2006.

In March 2005, a Nabisco advertising campaign showcased Mochrie as the "Snack Fairy". In that advertisement, he dresses in a ballet tutu over normal slacks and a shirt. At the end of each commercial, he announces "Snack happy!".

In 2011, Mochrie seemed as a consistent cast associate on Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza on GSN. Subsequently, in 2012, Mochrie starred in the ABC improv comedy sequence “Trust Us with Your Life”.

Mochrie’s Personal life

Mochrie is married to Debra McGrath. Debra has an estimated net worth of nearly $ 1 million. The couple is blessed with a daughter named as Kinley Mochrie (Born September 3, 1990) who is transgender. He won the Canadian Comedy Award for Canadian Comedy Person of the Year in 2013. Out of his five Canadian Comedy Awards nominations, he has won it two times. On the other hand, his arrival on “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” won him numerous awards including a Writers Guild of Canada Award and a Gemini Award.
